Test of a good composition?

A recent entry on my WordPress blog has attracted some very positive feedback. Here is a variation on that photo.

… but at this point only trams go up the road he is crossing, and only one way. No tram is in sight.

Today is much cooler than this…

However, to judge from spring so far we are in for a hot summer.
